Frances Park Estate, a newly developed housing estate, faced significant setbacks due to damages in its recently installed stormwater drainage system. The damaged pipes threatened the project’s completion timeline and the system’s long-term functionality. The Challenge
The stormwater drainage system, spanning across 32 sections of pipe, presented a range of issues, including:
- Displaced joints causing misalignments and structural weakness.
- Holes allowing water to escape and weaken surrounding areas.
- Poorly executed point repairs that failed to meet quality standards.
These defects rendered the stormwater system unreliable, posing risks to the estate’s functionality and delaying its completion.
The Solution
Nuflow Top End proposed a trenchless pipe relining approach using their advanced SUMO technology. The scope involved the installation of:
- 78 structural pipe patches, each one meter long, tailored to fit pipes with diameters ranging from 300mm to 525mm.
This method ensured precision and durability, restoring structural integrity to the defective sections without disrupting the estate’s surface.

The traditional solution would have required cutting up walkways, driveways, roads and sections of a whole new subdivision. This invasive process would have caused:
- Significant delays to the project’s timeline.
